Nick Cave is one of Francesco’s heroes, a big musical inspiration. He would love to meet him. Last night Francesco Fonte Band was playing a show at the Purple Turtle in Camden. Just minutes after they finished, Francesco’s housemate went out for a fag. And there he was standing, Nick Cave, waiting for a cab in front of Purple Turtle. Francesco missed him while being inside, receiving applause for his performance and chatting about music. Destiny.
“..wondering what he was up to yesterday night in front of Purple Turtle just after Francesco Fonte Band finished their live gig supporting Die Kur for the launch of their new album Manifesto..was he inside the venue maybe, watching the live performance? Maybe he went to Koko where the night wouldn’t really match his taste and get inspired for a new song? Maybe he just went to some friends house in the area and thought ‘were the fuck is this noise and screaming-out-of-tune coming from?’ Yeah Francesco Dream ON!”

This is another little try with my new fisheye/macro adapter for my 50mm fixed lens. These feathers are a great memory of these really nice “pop-up events” that happened all over London in 2012 alongside the olympics. That Sunday Night when they closed Piccadilly Circus to turn it into a real circus with an impressive artistic show above the roofs ending up in a storm of feathers coming down from the sky. Does anyone remember about that? There were so many people and all of Piccadilly was covered in white, the atmosphere was stunning, everyone was so happy and impressed. Some would dance and jump and pic up a hand full of feathers to through them in the air as if it was snow. I had a brilliant night out and I love London for these few exceptional moments that occasionally happen. I collected all feathers I could find in my bag, pockets and shoes in a little jar.
